why the Rockies will never reach the world series again

The Monfort Bros have never enjoyed a huge fan base in Colorado sports.  Even with the Rockies miracle Rocktober last year, everyone knew they had really caught lightning in a bottle and rode it as long as possible.  Not the Monforts, they seemed to think that their brand of baseball management was now justified by a World Series trip- just before getting creamed by the mighty Red Sox.

According to this article in the Denver Post, they’re at it again.  Trading Matt Holiday, perhaps the best pure hitter in the National League is, in my humble opinion, is proof that they will likely never be as succesful as they were last year.
